How to love everybody

Today I woke up with a smile on my face.

I thought about the difference between being in love and loving friends. About how we idealize our crushes, seeing only the positive sides. Yet love our friends, despite their shortcomings.

The first is fantasy, a projection of the ideal; the second is true love.

If we imagine that all the people around us are our friends, it will be easier for us to love others despite their flaws.

What about people that we don’t like? Are they friends too?

Yes. They are friends who do not yet realize that their behavior affects us in a negative way.
